Kōwhai Coast rubbish and recycling
On your designated pick-up day, please ensure your bins are out for collection by 7am.
Your rubbish and food scraps collection will occur weekly, while your recycling collection will be fortnightly.
Please note that pick-up days may change if they fall around a public holiday. Follow the link to Auckland Council below to confirm.
In the Kōwhai Coast area, we may have varying levels of assistance from the council. In some cases, private contractors help with rubbish collection. The previous occupant or your landlord should be able to provide you with information on the specific setup for your property.

As we approach September 2025 and the upcoming transition from bin bags to wheelie bins for much of the Kōwhai Coast area, more information will be provided by the council to help you plan ahead for this change.
